QSSD joins “Want to Work” apprentice scheme

With the new office in place QSSD are working closely with Albion in the Community (AITC) to provide an apprentice scheme for the company that will assist in our long term expansion plans.

With unemployment at a 17-year high, Albion in the Community will be working with QSSD and other companies across Sussex to help people in the region to get back into work and training.

The scheme ‘Want to Work’ was launched in November 2011 and already over 60 local businesses have signed up to work with local unemployed people, offering a range of work placement and training opportunities aimed at getting them back into employment.

Phil Bacon, stated “Our partnership with AITC is an excellent opportunity for QSSD to work with the local community and help assist people back into the work place. We are excited about being involved with the “Want to work” scheme and the benefits it will bring to QSSD and our long term expansion plans.”
Want to Work’s Carl Southwell added; “The number of job seekers entering the programme is growing daily and we are really encouraged with the amount of companies that have signed up since we launched the project. Our aim is to sign up 100 companies by the end of 2012.”

We are looking forward to the opportunities that this will present to QSSD and we are pleased to be involved in a local scheme to help the community.
